The Autism Assessment Team Mansfield is a collaboration between psychologist, Sally Hanratty, speech therapist, Kristy Pennington and occupational therapist, Alisha Forrest. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary assessment of possible autism disorder, in a timely manner.At Sally Hanratty Psychology, our skilled psychologists in North East Victoria are dedicated to helping children and young people overcome life’s challenges. Sally Hanratty
Psychologist
Sally has been a registered Psychologist for 16 years and specialises in working with children and young people up to the age of 18 years. Sally has particular experience in working within educational settings, having worked in a range of schools across the public and private sectors, providing therapeutic and assessment services. Additionally, Sally has extensive experience in working with families, in a range of roles, over a period of 15 years prior to becoming a psychologist. Sally currently works in regional Victoria providing assessment services to school aged children and young people. Her focus is on the assessment and diagnosis of developmental and educational concerns including intellectual developmental disorder (IDD – previously known as intellectual disability), specific learning disorder (dyslexia, dysgraphia etc.), attention/conduct difficulties (ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD), as well as behavioural concerns.

Kristy Pennington
Speech Pathologist
Kristy is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist who is passionate about empowering families and educators to support children and adolescents to reach their potential. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents in education and community health settings. Kristy specialises in child and adolescent language, literacy and social communication difficulties, providing professional, comprehensive assessment and advice in the diagnosis and management of language-based difficulties with a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments. Kristy also provides evidence based, neurodiversity affirming, strengths based assessment and intervention to support your child to reach their learning potential and achieve their communication goals.

Alisha Forrest
Occupational Therapist
Alisha is an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from La Trobe University in 2003. Alisha has worked extensively in paediatrics within transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary settings, providing therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Food Aversion (fussy eaters), as well as supporting families with positive behaviour management strategies. Alisha provides individual services focussing on client’s strengths, interests and needs and has considerable experience in delivering group programs. Alisha has previously been part of an Autism Assessment Team and has had ongoing involvement in multidisciplinary assessments. Alisha is a caring and down to earth therapist who believes in the importance of making therapy fun. Alisha has completed many courses and training programs to further her skills and knowledge.
